Welcome to **** Landhotel de Börken

	*The first generation:* The origin of Landhotel De Borken takes us back three generations to a cosy village pub started in 1913. From 1913 to 145 Grietje Wanders Nijstad was running the pub and Martinus Wanders was a farmer, house butcher and Thatcher.
	*The second generation:* In 1945 Jan en Roelie Wanders van Es took over the place. The butch and thatching work became forgotten and cattle came in place. Roelie Wanders was running the pub and Jan Wanders ran the farm, mixed agriculture and cattle.
	*The third generation:* Because the son (Tinus Wanders) was interested in the hospitality services of his parents the decision was made in 1966 to clear up the cattle and start a small hotel with eleven rooms. They kept the land were Jan Wanders made a living as a farmer while his wife Roelie was still running the pub and the new eleven rooms. In 1971 Tinus en Femmy Vos started working at the Borken. They married in 1973 and in 1981 they took over the place.
The Wintertuin (Wintergarden) was build in 1999 and is in use for several purposes. It is even an official place for getting married. Weddings and other parties, but also business meetings are kept here often. With a beautiful garden next to it the feeling you will get is the typical Drensch. The lovely environment and the nearby National Park Dwingelderveld offers the nature lover a lot and makes the hotel very interesting for business, sport and private stayings. Relax around the beautiful antique fireplace, enjoy the professional service in Brasserie Lhee or Restaurant Cartouche or take a moment of peace in the indoor heated swimming pool with massage beam.
